Today I’m going to feature some of the items from Clockwork Couture that has had me lusting after clothing with a fervor normally reserved for popular teen girls. Seriously, I have no words for how much I love their stuff. I would have a closet full if it weren’t for that terrible ‘money’ thing that keeps me from indulging. It is my hope to someday make it down to Burbank in order to visit the shop in person. I could use it as a setting in my game. Moving on . . . first up are two corsets!
The first is the Venetian Corset (here) and the second is Madame Du Pre’s Adventure Corset (here). I love the first one for the simplicity and the warm Tuscan colors. The second kills me with its details and chains and patterns. If I was going to actually wear one of these, I’d have to go with the Venetian, however. You see, there’s this thing about being in the Busty Club. Corsets kinda make your cleavage enter a room before you do. The little opening in the Adventure would just give my girls a chance to sneak out more. Then again, the draft would be faboo.
Now for a dress that is high on my ‘sincerely going to buy this because they have a size that fits’ list.
The Cirque Berzerk Steampunk Dress (here)! And if you can say ‘Cirque Berzerk’ three times without looking like you’re practing proper kiss posture, you get +100 internet points. (Could someone tell me where I can spend my points? I rack ’em up but can’t spend ’em!) Anyway, the dress! The Cirque is both playful and classy, and I would absolutely wear it to go out shopping. I have these cute brown boots that would perfectly match. If I eat my veggies, can I haz this pretty piece?
Now for a tank that I’d wear with EVERYTHING.
The Spring Steam tank (here) comes in three colors normally–blue, pink, and ivory–but they only have ivory in stock right now. The skirt is another item in the store, but I would wear the top with jeans and shorts and just about anything else. In fact, I’d absolutely wear it with the following item:
Rational Dress Society’s Bloomers (here)! Ruffles and chocolate color and comfy yoga band? Yes, please! This piece would also be in my ‘wear it at every opportunity’ portion of the closet. And it would probably be worn around the house too. So much better than my boring gray jammies.
This is just a TINY sampling of their awesomeness, and they have clothing for men, too! Oh, and if you can handle the geek cred, some of their models include Grant Imahara, Wil Wheaton and his wife, and Felicia Day. They’re also one of the exclusive carriers of Brian Kesinger’s Tea Girls series of items, so you can count on wasting a paycheck or two at this place. Or half of one if you have bills to pay. I don’t judge.
