Tug on the line, she did, and out she did go! Out through a fountain where she found herself holding the line belonging to a surprised figure! The Fisherman stared at her a bit oddly. “Well, I’ve pulled weirder out of my fountain,” he decided. The Girl climbed out and sat down, marveling at how magically dry she felt. “What are those?” she asked, looking at the wisps about. The Fisherman pointed toward a distant road. “They are lingering thoughts of the good in this world. Follow them, and you will find more friends.”
This shoot was funny from start to finish. We shot in the courtyard of a friend’s apartment where they have a lovely fountain. It was a smidge nippy that day, but thankfully not TOO cold. We tried different poses to get both in frame with the idea I’d photoshop Lily into the fountain, but she decided she’d rather just get in, and Theresa agreed. Who am I to disagree with the mom? 😉
This actually took the most amount of digital composite so far. The background is build from two different images, and I built the lingering thoughts personally (which was fun. Yes, they kinda look like Fayth from Final Fantasy X. That was on purpose.).
Bobby, my Fisherman, is always fun to work with. A consummate actor with a great sense of humor, we always end up with some hilarious images. He should be familiar, in fact, as he was my Mad Hatter for Steampunk Wonderland!
Next week brings a cameo from one of my dearest friends who is also an amazing artist in her own right.
In other news, my next book should be coming out in late February! GHOST EYES is the first of my multi-book Eternity series, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone! I will be shooting the cover the second weekend in January, and will hopefully have a cover reveal for it shortly thereafter. Genre is fantasy romance, of course, but this time my fantasy has . . . fangs.
Life. Death. It’s all the same to Gardina Campbell, the mysterious Gray Etyrnal. When the immortal Ghost Hunter meets Commander Matthias Logan as he abandons a war he can’t stand, her existence changes for all time. Their Devotion might just be the only thing that can save their countries–if Gardina can keep them both alive long enough to see the end.
